About Me
Hi, I’m Denis Cooper – a Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience helping organisations modernise their infrastructure and unlock the full potential of the cloud.
I specialise in Azure, DevOps, Security, and Solution Architecture, holding three Microsoft Expert certifications. Over the years, I’ve designed and delivered solutions across a range of industries – from greenfield builds to large-scale enterprise migrations – always focusing on governance, scalability, and reliability as the foundation of success.
What I Do
These days, I spend my time helping businesses transform their datacentres into modern Azure platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code, automation, and strong governance principles to bring consistency and velocity to cloud delivery.
I’m also building tools and training material for other cloud professionals — sharing the lessons I’ve learned from the field and turning them into practical, actionable guidance.
My Philosophy
I believe the key to successful cloud adoption isn’t just technology — it’s clarity of intent. Knowing why you’re building something shapes how you build it. Whether it’s defining a landing zone strategy, implementing DevOps pipelines, or aligning governance with business outcomes, I always start with intent and design for long-term sustainability.
Beyond the Cloud
When I’m not deep in Azure architectures or writing content, I’m probably on my smallholding — keeping bees, tending to the land, and making honey. It’s a grounding counterbalance to tech life, and it reminds me that everything — whether in nature or in the cloud — works best when it’s built on balance and good design.
Why I Write
This blog is where I share insights, guides, and thoughts on Azure, cloud architecture, and real-world delivery. My goal is to contribute back to the community that’s given me so much — and, along the way, help others navigate their own cloud journey.
If you’re interested in cloud architecture, DevOps, or just building things that last — you’re in the right place.
